Of course there is a back story here. But more importantly, a kind gentleman that owns a sushi restaurant and sometimes gives motivational speeches, is expecting a quality show from an improv group that fully discloses that each show "might be a failure of art." We will be "performing" in the front window to "entice" people off the street to come in and eat sushi. We already are set up for failure.

I also want to add that when I heard about this show, my immediate thought was: "Shit. I am probably going to be naked at some point and my teammates are going to be eating sushi off my body." If that was my first thought, I am not sure where this show is going to go.

So if you have never seen Dreadnought perform, this might be a good show to get a feel of what we are about. The organic creation of something magical or the inherent destruction of something beautiful.

I predict this will be a new low in our young improv careers. And we will go down in a blaze of glory.

An excerpt from ElvisNewman.com:

What you may already notice about the Future

•It’s incredibly fast:
•It involves a huge adaptability gap
•It has a huge instantaneity
•It hits you most when you don’t expect it
•It's being defined by renegades
•It involves partnership

•It involves intensity
•It’s bigger than you think
•It involves innovation intensity
•It comes from experiential capital
Remember

The Future Creates the Present

It is Your Responsibility to FORCE a better tomorrow to happen.

Elvis's testimonials:

"I have been working with Elvis for the past four years, and, without question, he is one of the most dynamic speakers and professional partners I've ever come across. Our audiences (internal and external) love him, and he works wonderfully with our people and customers. He hits a home run every time. You will not be sorry if you use him. In fact, I'm willing to bet your first experience will lead to many, many more, as it has with Raelian Organization"

Marc Letou, North American Representative, Raelian Organization

"Thank you for the excellent talk you gave to our audience here at the Bill Paradise Travel yesterday. The range of topics you addressed was thought-provoking and exactly on target with the theme, “Building Theme Parks in the Future"

Bill Kensington

Elvis is right - the future IS being defined by renegades. Those renegades are Dreadnought.

This show will be a life changing event for all who participate and all who witness it. I myself will be sprinting from a coaching gig at 10 in the hopes of watching Cathryn Mudon eat sushi off of Don Fanelli's naked body.

I have seen Dreadnought's collective eyes fill with humiliation and shame over shit they've pulled in rehearsal, when no one is watching. I can not wait to see what they manage to accomplish in front of a restaurant full of confused seafood lovers.

Seriously though. Has a group ever fit their venue more than this particular show? And has any group ever been more appropriate to be booked by a futurist than Dreadnought?

I can not stress this enough: all signs point to this show being something that those who witness it talk about for the rest of their lives. * And if not, you will at least get some good sushi out of the deal. **

* No pressure, Manzolillo.

** Can not actually say if the sushi is good or not.

Got it, I'll bring a bottle of Gold Bond Medicated Powder and keeping squeezing it up in the air as I chug around the restaurant and say "choo choooo" for 20 minutes straight.

Tonight, I will initiate a fight with the restaurant patron who most closely resembles my dad.*

*This may very well end up being Elvis himself.

I absolutely have to be there for this. Jesse Lee NEVER KIDS. Please, please, find a way to occupy Elvis so that the start time gets pushed back and I can be there for the bulk of this.

Does Elvis own the restaurant? I ask because I wonder if there is another layer of him having a boss who could shut this shitshow down as soon as it starts.

I predict that this will trump Madame V as my "story about the craziest thing I've ever seen on stage".
