Low Profile - Monday Aug. 21st 8PM!
 Theorizing that one could find sketch and improv comedy on the Lower East Side, Dr. Samuel Beckett stepped into the Low Profile accelarator...and vanished. He woke to find himself at Fat Baby (112 Rivington, between Ludlow and Essex), facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change comedy on Monday nights for the better. His only guides on this journey are Tybrus, Derrick, Quiet Library, Cubicle, Dangerbox, Will Hines and Greg & Lou, observers from his own time that appear in the form of holograms that only you, the audience, can see and hear. And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from scene to scene, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping that his next show will be the show that you're drinking at. Following an accident in which they crashed into a science lab where a top-secret transfer ray was being developed, Tybrus has the ability to turn themselves into a car whenever their body temperature reaches a certain level.

In his basement in the lower east side, boy-geniuses Greg and Lou unlock the doorway to an infinite number of sketches. During a test run, Greg and Lou invite co-worker Derrick and their teacher Professor Will Hines to see his new invention. But an increase in power and an early departure leave all three, plus a washed-up soul singer named Rembrandt "Dangerbox" Brown, lost in a parallel world. Now they must "Slide" from scene to scene, not only adapting to their changing surroundings, but also trying to get back to their world. Will they ever make it home?

Derrick are the owners of Low Profile Comedy and the Fat Baby Club (112 Rivington Between Ludlow and Essex), which is a foster home for young girls. But by using their earrings to project a holographic image over themselves, they are transformed into their alter ego Jem, the lead singer for the successful music group, Jem and the Holograms. Other members of the group are Derrick's sensitive little sister Cubicle, the strong-willed Quiet Library, and the creative Will Hines. The group's rivals are The Misfits, made up of the cold-hearted Tybrus, the tough-acting duo Greg & Lou, and the humble Dangerbox. Jem and her friends are always involved in glamorous and exciting adventures around the world, while touching people's hearts with their hit songs.
