Final Cut Pro Question

Okay, I'm editing my reel and including cross-fades. I'm getting hiccups in the audio portion during the transitions though the video is smooth. The picture doesn't hiccup, just the sound. When I remove the cross-fade, the sound is fine.

Is there some connection between effects and audio, and how can I fix this?

Just "lock" the little audio icon on the far left side of the editing bars. Lock whatever audio is getting "chopped/hit". Go back, insert the cross fade, then test it. That should do it.

It must be hard to do standup at an improv festival. Despite seeing your NY/LA thing twice, I thought you did great.
