Now that I've figured out the camera (Sony PD-150), what should be my highest priority accessory-wise?
Lights? Shotgun mic (or other)? Tripod? Stylish Case? Extra lenses or filters? Anything I'm missing?

You will thank yourself!
Even if your aesthetic is hand-held, there are times when you will kick yourself for not having a tripod.

I'd certainly agree with the tripod recommendation as the first thing to buy. I actually need to buy a nice new tripod myself, as the one I have is crappy for video (it's made more for 'light' still photo use.)
Even though I will not have followed my own advice, I'd get things in this order:
1. Tripod
2. Case (stylishness optional)
3. Microphone(s) (with boom pole, perhaps?)
4. Wide angle conversion lens
5. Lighting Kit
6. Steadytracker/Steadycam (if you find some extra change in your cargo pants.)
Also, if you haven't bought a high capacity battery already, get one of those. Make that number ".5"

It's worth investing in a good tripod that's designed for video.
You want to make sure the legs have locks, it pans smoothly and it's stable enough to hold a heavy camera.

I support the importance of the tripod But the very next important thing is the mic. As a successful producer once said DON'T SKIMP ON THE SOUND! Get the best you can afford. The difference it makes is jurassic.

You can get a Sennheiser at a decent price.
They make mics especially for DV Cameras
